I have always lived to eat, then I started to eat to live, now
It seems as if I have started to live just to eat again! And I hate that! I have been doing so good on my diet, had a consistent 2lb loss every week, and now it is if my body has gotten used to eatting less, and I have started to want MORE food! I was doing so good! Sobbing! Well I have stopped the diet pill for a week and a half now, although I only took 1/2 a day anyways…15 mg. Well Last night I was eatting some chips, ff ones I have enough willpower to at least eat those! And my hubby came home and saw me chomping and said well I wasn’t gonna say anything when you got big again, but Now since you have lost 50 lbs I don’t want you to start eatting this junk again and blow up! I don’t know if I was furious at him, or gratefull! So I had him put the chips out of the area, lol…and then he said hey do we have any lowfat popcorn to munch on? so I made that and ate a few handfulls and then I got a yogurt..Not bad choices, just the calories are slowly creeping back up….1300…when I was eatting under 1000 a day! Ok I know al ot of people told me I was eatting to low for calories, but I am happy with the 2lb loss, and I dont want it to stop! Wah wah…why can’t I have it both ways! This sucks! well I think maybe I need more meat in my diet, I have settled for 3-4 oz of chkn forever…well from the last few mos. everyday! So I think maybe I will up it to 6oz each day, maybe I need that as a filler and protein is the energy boost I probably need. Also I have been eatting a banana for breakfast and skipping lunch or eatting a yogurt and fruit…well today I had a tomato soup at hand cup, for a mid day boost and I think it worked! I really hope I lose weight this week! I have become obsessed with the scales, makes me wish I never would have purchased a new digital scale last Friday night! Ah well, I did post a new picture, thanks for noticing, lots of people have….That makes me feel positive….I have 20 more lbs to go seems to me like I am gonna have to start pulling, tugging them and Yanking them off, Thats the only way they are moving! They like it here……


You are so funny. Your weight loss will slow down that is just how it works. I don’t know why you are so hungry all of a sudden :)….but just listen to your body. If it is hungry continue to give it good foods and not junk. Because if it is truly needing fuel it is not gonna want the junk…It will want protein, fruits and veggies and if you dont give it what it needs you will probably end up eating all of the above plus some. have a good day girly.
I have never thought skipping meals does a person any good in the long run. You end up starved and eating things you wouldn’t if you were being logical. Three meals and two snacks has worked for me. It keeps your blood sugars from spiking and making you insane. Your body is probably trying to adjust to coming off of the diet pill. That is a very difficult adjustment! Personally, I think hubby needs to learn some tact. I hate others being harsh like that to people. It is uncalled for. If you want to eat a bag of chips, it isn’t his choice. It is yours and you need to be strong for yourself. Sorry, I guess it riled me up that he would be so harsh to you. I get defensive of buddies on here!
Ok, I would say “furious.” Can’t he be a little more sensitive (blow up, you’re not a frigging balloon)? Maybe he was trying to help,but with men you just never know. Sounds just like my ex, (ok, I may be transferring feelings here a little bit so please excuse me.)
Well, hubby was trying to give you tough love or straight talk and maybe his words weren’t exactly the right choice. But, please, don’t skip meals. You need energy and if you don’t take in enough food, you start slowing down and feeling sluggish, start getting moody and then eventually you can’t lose anymore. I’m glad you didn’t skip lunch today. And here’s the wacky thing about food. Everytime we eat a meal or a snack, we boost our metabolism. That’s why it’s good to have a decent breakfast because are metabolism is at it’s highest by morning and eating just extends it even more. By lunch, you eat again and you boost it up again. Do some research on it and you’ll see. Have a good night!
Well, I think that adding some more protein in will help you alot. Skipping meals will always lead you to be even more hungry…. never good. You know what to do to reach your goal. You have come so far so just keep at it. Be strong! You can do it!
Hey girl! I enjoyed reading your blog tonight. I feel for you because I’m going through something very similar - and I feel like a teeter totter going up and down, up and down. Oh well. In my diet program “Body for Life” I eat 6 small meals daily, and it’s working. My stomach seems to be shrinking, and I find myself not snacking on my unhealthy snacks. Amazing for me LOL~ Don’t worry, you’ll find what works best for you. But people are right - do not skip meals. Doesn’t work that way, and is not healthy. I think you look great in your pictures =) Don’t give up, you’ll get there!!

Honestly I think you need more calories and you need to settle for only 1 pound a week. At 1300 calories you’re getting enough nutrition and you will lose weight, just more slowly. Lyssa is right - the WL will by definition slow down as you get closer to goal. You just need to change things up a bit to keep things going in the right direction. So pump up the cardio for a few days and pump up the protein (I like that idea a lot) and get to it. You’re fine. You’re just hungry. So eat something healthy silly goose!

I try to keep my intake at 1200 cals. and I am losing almost a pound a week. Small amount of chicken breast, usually in broth with veggies. 3 small meals, 3 smaller snacks per day. Once in a while I get too busy for mid-morning snack. I lost over 100 lb. 25 years ago and have kept it off except for minor gains that I jumped back on plan to eliminate. Losing slowly is so boring but we want to KEEP it off, right? I made it back home from bus ride, had a great time, too. Hugs, Marge
