I am upset!

I am upset because I have been dietting for a few months now and at first the weight was just flying off now…wham! I am at a stand still…Ok I am happy with a 2lb loss each week after all I now eat little to no bread at all…even though I bake bread at work everyday like crazy, and now no chocolate, candy, anything that resembles that it has more than 3g of fat in it!  My calories have maintained at just under 1000 a day soooo…now this week I only lose 1lb barely!  Ughh this is very frustrating….while sitting here watching everyone gorge on all this yummy stuff!  I kno I know I have to be patient but it is hard!  I want results!  I am tired of being patient!  Ok I am done ranting now!  This is the start of a new week!  Actually I normally weigh in on Saturdays but last Sat I wasn’t happy with my results so I waited til wednesday for better ones, and ughhhh……

It sounds like you need to up you calorie intake…you should never be under 1000. You body is trying to keep the fat because it thinks you are starving it.

2 lbs of weight loss a week is awesome….

Don’t get frustrated, just change up you diet and trick you body.

    Best of luck!

Angie, Do you remember me telling you that you needed to up your calories a few times a week? Your body thinks its starving so its going to hold onto everything it can. At least 2 days a week go up to 1200-1300 calories. Start eating low fat dairy with a meal again, also are you drinking water?

You may have just hit a plateau, remember I was stuck at 215 for 2 months before I started losing again.

I have to agree with Sharky and Cara. Up the calories a bit, maybe change up exercise routine and see if that doesn’t do the trick!

Any kind of loss a week is good, so celebrate that you are making progress. Remember that slow and STEADY is the way to go for healthy weight loss.

You’ll get to your goal… cause I’ve read your past blogs and can see how determined and motivated you are!

    Hugggggggggggggs,

1lb is nothing to be sneezed at. It’s a significant step from where you are now to your ultimate goal. Even for those of us with a lot more to lose it’s still a significant step. You should be pleased and proud of that!

I think it can be frustrating. For those of us who are motivated and working hard it can be frustrating because we know we’re going to get there in the end and we just don’t want to wait. But, that said, patience (and as you said it’s hard) is a big part of it. I also think when we reach out goals the fact that it was such hard work will make the achievement feel that much sweeter!

your body is storing fat so it can live off that and you cant burn off that stored fat. your calorie intake is too low!! my suggestion is 1200 calories. weigh in day treat yourself to 1500 calories that tricks your body into thinking oh yes shes eating again then next day back to 1200- 1300 and you burn calories faster by tricking your body. under 1000 calories your body thinks its starving so it will hold onto anything you eat.
